NEW Motic^® Panthera S Light Microscopes

Designed for usage in schools, the Panthera S includes several features to make this model ideal for school use. A 180° rotatable head and an integrated power cord compartment help to save space for mass storage.

Also included are ASC optics, and extremely efficient 1W low power LED illumination. This enables the Panthera S to run on a mobile battery pack for several hours, while offering vivid, high quality images. Other premium features include Infinity Corrected Plan Achromat objectives for images free of aberration or blur, a .90/1.25 Abbe condenser to yield better images at high magnification, and an LED coded nosepiece to indicate light intensity. Able to perform BF, PH, and DF contrast techniques.

New SC Objectives & Eyepieces For Panthera S Motic® has redesigned the CCIS© Infinity optics to create a series  of new Plan SC Achromatic Objectives. These lenses present a flat image for a 20mm field of view with optimal color fidelity and contrast.  The new 100X/0.8 “Dry Objective” is especially favorable in environments where the time-consuming immersion procedure on a “normal” 100X objective is considered too difficult and complicated.

Eyepiece Tubes The standard eyepiece tubes can be adjusted to accommodate different physiques.  In addition, all tubes are rotatable, a helpful space saving feature for storage.

Efficient LED Illumination Setup The Panthera S is equipped with a low consumption LED light source in a fixed Koehler set up without field a diagram. The light intensity indicator displays the  light intensity as a sequence of LEDs around the revolving nosepiece. With a USB port in the stand, the Panthera can connect to a power bank and function independently from the main power supply. The standard Abbe condenser with NA 0.9/1.25 with aperture diaphragm and slider slot is ready to carry sliders for Phase Contrast and Darkfield.

Stage 

Motic^® Panthera S features a rackless stage with a standard slide holder, as well as an upper limit stop, eliminating the risk of breaking the glass slide while focusing. The minimum increments of 2 microns in the z-movement facilitates smooth focusing of samples under high magnifications.

Reversed Quadrupal Turret Revolving Nosepiece The Panthera S has the capability for mounting up to four quality objectives, allowing easy access to the slide. Precision positive click-stop mechanism ensures precise alignment of objectives.

Fine/Coarse Coaxial Focusing

The brass, coaxial fine and course focusing mechanism uses a precise and reliable triangular rail system featuring adjustable tension. The focusing range is 25mm with minimum increments of 2µm.
