“Usage Data” refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a visit to a web page).

“Website” refers to www.tedpella.com.

“You” and “Your” and “they” means the individual accessing or using the website, or the Company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the website, as applicable.

“Personal Data” is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

No personal data is gathered from consumers who do not place an order on this site with the exception of when a consumer requests information or a quote. Domain registration, IP address, computer type and browser type is captured and is not considered personal data. This information is aggregated and used internally for statistical analysis of visitor activity and usage trends. This information may also be used, at the visitor's request, to provide technical support. When requesting information or a quote, personal data is collected in order to send the requested information back to the consumer.

How Data Is Used

When a site visitor elects to set up a Customer Profile for themselves, personal data is collected for the purpose of being used later in placing an order. This includes name, address, email address and phone number.  This is the same information typically requested when placing an order by other methods. This information is collected via a form protected by a current version of the internet security standard Transport Layer Security ("TLS") protocol. Credit card numbers are not collected at that point and are not stored online for web access at any time; social security numbers and driver license numbers are never collected. The collected information is protected by an ID and password chosen by the consumer, with a certain level of security constraint enforced. If a consumer wishes to change or remove the personal that they set up, they merely have to log in and change all relevant fields. If they wish to delete the Profile entirely, a call may be placed to the company to request that be done.

When placing an order, personal data is gathered. If the consumer has a pre-existing Customer Profile and logs in using that, the personal data in the Profile is used along with any changes made by the consumer. If the consumer does not have a Customer Profile, personal data is gathered at the time of order placement as already described above, and used for the purpose of processing the order.

A cookie which is used during the order process may temporarily contain personal data during the ordering process. It is deleted at the completion of order, or when the consumer leaves the web site. The consumer can turn their cookie functionality off, but that would prevent an online order from being placed.

Personal data that is submitted for the purpose of placing an order, requesting information or a quote is held in strictest confidence. It may be used later for our own company mailings to you but is never shared, sold, rented or otherwise revealed to any third party. Personal data may be removed from the mailing list by sending an email requesting removal or calling the company to make such a request. The only exception would be when ordered to do so by a US court of law.

Credit card transactions are not processed online. Credit card information is never shared with any third party except the merchant service processing the transaction. Credit card numbers are only collected online as part of a credit card sale. TLS protocol is used with the order form containing the credit card, and this information is sent back to the company in an industry-standard digitally-encrypted format. Credit card information is used only for the order for which the consumer authorizes its use.

At no time do we disclose personal data to third parties except to transmit credit card information to merchant services via encrypted internet communication for authorization and payment processing for credit card orders placed by consumers.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the website.

Usage Data may include information such as your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address); browser make; browser version; the pages of our web site that you visit; the time and date of your visit; the time spent on those pages; unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

When you access the web site by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use; your mobile device unique ID; the IP address of your mobile device; your mobile device operating system; the type of mobile device Internet browser you use; unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We do not use the Automatic Number Identification system ("ANI"), a way to otherwise legally gather the incoming phone numbers to (800) class phone numbers without the knowledge of the caller, which would allow a company to merge this data with other publicly available data. We do not engage in this practice; we do not use ANI.
