Motic® Panthera C2 Series Microscopes

The Motic^® Panthera C2 is a classic microscope that meets the demand for high contrast images. Full Koehler illumination with Motic LightTracer control, and Premium Plan UC optics deliver unmatched color fidelity and definition. It has 3W LED illumination easily interchangeable with different color temperature LED bulbs, and a newly designed 2-slide compact rackless stage.

Siedentopf Observation Tube

The Panthera C2's Siedentopf observation tube is designed with an ergonomic viewing angle of 25° and incorporating an interpupillary distance of 48-75mm. The Panthera C2's observation tubes guarantee fatigue free viewing for hours. Large field of view (22mm) enables fast and comfortable screening of specimens. The trinocular tube allows digital documentation and integration to a wide variety of digital cameras.

Eyepieces

The UC eyepieces are made of high quality optical glass and have a high-eyepoint for eyeglass wearers. The eyepieces provide consistent diopter adjustments for both eyes. This enables perfect usage of reticles for measuring, counting, etc. The new UC eyepieces feature a 22mm field of view.

Reversed Quintuple Turret Revolving Nosepiece

The Panthera C2 has the capability for mounting up to five quality objectives. Precision positive click-stop mechanism ensures precise alignment of objectives.

Objectives

To provide overall optical performance of the Panthera C2, Motic^® introduces a newly designed generation of Plan UC Achromatic Objectives made of high quality optical glass (Pb free): CCIS^®. The new UC lenses are multilayer coated for improved contrast to enhance images even with weak slide staining. Also available is a 100x/0.8 dry lens for oil free observation. All have standard RMS thread.

Fine/Coarse Coaxial Focusing

The brass, coaxial fine and course focusing mechanism uses a precise and reliable triangular rail system featuring adjustable tension. The focusing range is 25mm with minimum increments of 2µm.

Condenser

To ensure the best possible illumination quality, the Panthera C2 condenser is a full Koehler type, N.A. 0.90/1.25 Abbe with slider slot.

Illumination

The Panthera C2 features the new integrated intellligent illumination system from Motic^®. The LightTracer system combines a digital multi-function knob, a coded nose piece and an LED feedback indicator. The automated light management is controlled by the multi-function knob. It is responsible for adjusting the light intensity and works with coded nose piece to memorize the illumination for each objective position. The Panthera C2 3W LED illumination offers two options: 3500K or 5500K. Able to Perform BF, PH, POL, DF, FL (with LED Mouse), MMC Contrast Techniques.

Stage

New, patented, rackless, compact stage features dual slide holder and one hand operation.

Phase Contrast

Universal turret condenser with all phase rings is offered as an option, available for magnifications of 10x, 20x, 40x and 100x.

Simple Darkfield

Darkfield is possible with a separate DF slider.

Simple Polarization

Convenient and simple polarization system consists of a polarizer and analyzer filters.

Digital Documentation

The integration of the Panthera C2 trinocular microscope and Moticam^® series of digital cameras delivers crisp and live images. All Moticam^®Cameras come equipped with software to transfer the Panthera C2 into an analysis and documentation station. The Panthera C2 features an integral USB 2.0 port for external camera power. The system provides high resolution imaging in both real time and capture modes. Motic^® provides a range of CCD-adapters which are necessary for trinocular port attachment.
