New PELCO® Tissue Tampers are accessory tools used to aid in the orientation and flatness of tissue for histological paraffin embedding. The handles are 2-3/4" long with a polyurethane coating for cool to the touch handling.

Individual Tampers should be placed on the heated work surface of the embedding center to be ready for use. The anodized Tamper Holding Tray is provided with our 5 and 3-Piece Sets and may be placed on the heated work surface of most all embedding centers. They will fit especially well on the heated work surface of tissue embedding centers composed of three modules; for example, the SLEE MPS P II, the Epredia HistoStar™, the Myr EC-500, and Medite Valida embedding centers.

  • 5-piece Set with Holding Tray
  • 3-piece Set for Routine Tissue Embedding
    (available with or without Holding Tray)
  • 3-piece Set for Large Tissue Embedding
    (available with or without Holding Tray)

PELCO® Tissue Tampers #22705-3, -4 and -5 are suitable for use with standard size Tissue Embedding Molds.

PELCO® Tissue Tampers #22705-6 and #22705-7 are new sizes for use with Super Mega Tissue Embedding Molds.
