StainTUFF™ labels are ideally suited for histological staining protocols. The labels can be applied to microscope slides, containers, and even directly to paraffin wax blocks. Due to their special composition, these labels are particularly resistant to stains, and do not acquire colors from reagents such as hematoxylin or eosin. These xylene-resistant labels have a high resistance against rough handling, smudging, abrasion and scratching. 

Compatible with all major brands of thermal transfer printers, including CAB, Datamax-O’neil, Zebra, citizen and more.

Thermal transfer printable paper labels. These labels are coated with strong permanent adhesive for paraffin wax blocks, wax, PTFE, PFA, parchment paper and other hard to stick surfaces. Can stick to various siliconized substrates (prior testing is recommended).

FormaliTAG™ Formalin & Alcohol Resistant Tags

for long-term specimen preservation

These non-adhesive thermal-transfer tags allow permanent and long-term identification of specimens and samples preserved in 10-100% formalin solution and alcohols. Durable and reliable, they are perfect for museum, anatomy and pathology laboratories, and any other facilities involved in preparation, preservation and long-term conservation of biological specimens such as arthropods (insects, arachnids), crustaceans, mollusks, herptiles (amphibians, reptiles), other vertebrates and invertebrates, tissues, organs, and many more.

Resistant to formaldehyde and alcohols, they are intended to be inserted directly into the solution with preserved specimens. Made from chemically inert plastic, they protect the sample information without affecting specimen integrity.

Supplied in continuous roll format, they are compatible with all major brands of thermal-transfer barcode printers including Sato, Datamax, Zebra, and Citizen. The printer must have a cutter option to cut tags to the desired length. To guarantee print resistance to solvents and chemicals, the use of our XAR-class ribbon is essential.

The tags are resistant to standard ethylene oxide gas sterilization, consisting of a 60-minute exposure to 759mg/L of ethylene oxide gas, at 55°C, and 40-80% relative humidity, followed by a two-hour aeration cycle.

When printed with our XAR-class ribbons, formalin resistant tags can also withstand direct contact with many other preservatives and solvents such as:

Resin Embedding Labels

Cryogenic thermal transfer labels remain strongly attached to various metal surfaces including aluminum, stainless steel, powder coated metal, painted metal, iron and more. They can be applied on the top and sides of freezer racks to easily identify racks and their content without pulling them out from dewar.

Our MetaliTAG™ labels are compatible with all major brands of thermal transfer barcode printers such as Zebra, CAB, Datamax O’Neil, SATO, Printronix, Citizen, Toshiba Tech, TSC, Intermec, Cognitive, Monarch, Brady (some models) and others. They also accept writing with permanent markers such as Cryo-Marker™.  The labels are resistant to standard ethylene oxide gas sterilization

Lab-TAG™ Cryo Color Dots are made from plastic materials designed to withstand long-term storage in liquid nitrogen (-196°C), and freezers (-120°C, -80°C and -20°C). They resist multiple freeze-thaw cycles and are ideal for dry-ice transportation. They can also withstand boiling water (+100°C for 5 minutes) and gamma irradiation (50kGy tested). Dots are supplied in small sheet format (4" x 6" Hagaki sheet size). They can be written on using permanent markers such as Cryo-Marker™.
