Section 3: Hazard Identification
Emergency overview
Appearance: Clear liquid
Immediate effects: No specific hazards under normal use conditions.
Potential health effects
Primary Routes of entry: Eyes and skin.
Signs and Symptoms of Overexposure: Prolong or repeated exposure may give rise
to dermatitis.
Eyes: Expected to be slightly irritating.
Skin: Expected to be slightly irritating. Not expected to be a skin sensitizer.
Ingestion: See Section 11
Inhalation: Contains mineral oil for which an exposure limit for oil mist applies
Chronic Exposure: Prolonged/repeated contact may cause de-fatting of the skin which can lead to dermatitis and may make the skin more susceptible to irritation and penetration by other materials.
Chemical Listed As Carcinogen Or Potential Carcinogen: None
See Toxicological Information (Section11)
Potential environmental effects
See Ecological Information (Section 12)
Section 4: First Aid Measures
If accidental overexposure is suspected
Eye(s) Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical advice.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected skin with soap
and water. If high pressure injection injuries occur, obtain medical attention
immediately.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If rapid recovery does not occur, obtain
medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If rapid recovery does not occur, obtain medical attention.
Note to physician
Treatment: Treat symptomatically.

Fire Extinguishing Media: Foam, Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, sand or
earth. Do not use
water in a jet.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures:
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Combustion is likely to give rise to a
complex mixture of gases and airborne particulates, including carbon monoxide,
oxides of sulfur, and unidentified organic and inorganic compounds.
Hazardous combustion products:
DOT Class: Not regulated
Section 6: Accidental Release Measures
Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled: Ventilate
contaminated area thoroughly; minimize contact with skin. Prevent further
leakage or spillage into drains, ditches or rivers by using sand, earth, or
other appropriate barriers. Shovel into a suitable, clearly marked container
for disposal or reclamation in accordance with local regulations.
Waste Disposal Methods: Dispose of waste according to Federal, State and Local
Regulations.

used. Storage drums made of mild steel or high density polyethylene are recommended
for containers or container linings. 2 years is the maximum storage period.
Storage Temperature: Ambient.
Storage Pressure: NA
Section 8: Exposure Controls / Personal Protection
Engineering Controls
Ventilation required: Local ventilation is recommended.
Personal Protection Equipment
Respiratory protection: Not normally required. If oil mist cannot be controlled, a respirator fitted with an organic vapor cartridge combined with a particulate pre-filter should be used.
Protective gloves: PVC or Nitrile rubber gloves are recommended.
Skin protection: Protective clothing
Eye protection: Safety goggles
Additional clothing and/or equipment: ND
