Available in the 1.3Mp ProScope HR™ or the 2.0Mp ProScope HR2™

The ProScope HR2™ is an even higher resolution hand held digital microscope also designed for use with PC or Mac platforms. The ProScope HR2™ has a black handle, is 2 Megapixel and can do four levels of resolution up to 1600X1200. The HR2™ continues to be a UVC plug and play device as many really like using it live over Skype or Apple iChat.  UVC also means no problematic drivers to load. The new free ProScope HR™ software will have imaging controls including adjustment of the LED intensity, however, these features will only be available for the ProScope HR2™ hardware. We will keep the same kits and give the customer the option of purchasing any kit with either the ProScope HR™ or the ProScope HR2™ microscope.

Optical System - The ProScope HR™ utilizes a high resolution CCD chip with 1280x1024 pixels. The ProScope HR2™ utilizes an even higher resolution CCD chip with 1600x1200 pixels. This ensures fast live imaging at a high frame rate. Several lenses with a quick release mount are available:

• 0-10x lens with integrated illumination
• 30N lens with white and polarized LED's for a non-reflective view. Perfect for skin, teeth, gems and metal surfaces
• 50x lens, preferred for many applications in forensics and education, with integrated illumination
• 100x lens for fingerprints, general biology studies, agricultural inspection, surface inspection, with integrated illumination
• 200x lens for fiber analysis, print inspection, ballistics and microorganism study, with integrated illumination
• 400x lens is the most powerful lens used for microorganism imaging and close up details, with integrated illumination
• C-mount adapter
• 16mm microscope tube adapter lens (requires C-mount adapter)

Background information on CCD and CMOS technology

Illumination - The ProScope HR™ lenses (except the microscope tube adapter lens) have fully integrated bright white LED's for illumination, delivering crisp and clear imaging.  The ProScope HR2™ has the advantage of a variable intensity control for the LED illumination.

Focusing - Both the ProScope HR™ and the ProScope HR2™ lenses have an adjustable lens cone designed for touch-view focusing. This will steady the handheld ProScope HR™ for improved image quality. The lens cone can be shortened for distance view operation when the object cannot be touched. For higher magnifications the ProScope Stand should be used.

ProScope™ Precision Stand - Designed and developed to operate on a small foot print and around objects the ProScope™ stand will steadily hold the ProScope HR™ in a wide variety of positions. Perfect for forensics, industrial inspection and laboratory application when working at high magnifications.

Microscopy Imaging - Both the ProScope HR™ and the ProScope HR2™ can transform stereo or compound microscopes into digital scopes by using either the CCD adapter (preferred) or the eyepiece adapter.

Power Requirements - Both the ProScope HR™ and the ProScope HR2™ are powered over the USB Bus and requires only 400mA. No additional power is required.

Imaging Software - Both the ProScope HR™ and the ProScope HR2™ imaging software, which is included with each ProScope HR™ System, provides camera resolution settings, image capture mode and filing of the images. Images are automatically stored in a gallery type presentation and can be exported from there. The additional software capture button capability allows for steady imaging when either the ProScope HR™ or the ProScope HR2™ is used on the stand or on a microscope.
