National 430 Series
Dual Magnification Stereo Microscope

Precise optical alignment assures a clear three dimensional, upright, unreversed image that is unsurpassed for application ranging from dissecting work, adjusting filaments to examining circuit boards. This stereo microscope is a real workhorse for lab, education and industry. Change between two magnifications simply by turning the objective turret. Efficient and versatile illumination system includes precisely controlled halogen incident lamp and cool transmitted fluorescent lamp.

Optical System

• Paired standard widefield eyepieces 10x / FN20 are 45° inclined with dual diopter adjustments. Interpupillary adjustment from 55 to 75mmm. Eyepiece O.D. 34mm, eyepiece tube 33mm, I.D. 30.5mm.
• Eyepieces accept reticles with 23mm O.D.
• Viewing head rotates 360°.
• Available with 1x & 3x (430)or 2x & 4x (431) objective.
• Objectives are parfocalled, parcentric and achromatic. Magnification is changed by rotating objective turret 900 to positive click stops.
• 94 mm working distance.
• Total magnification range with optional eyepieces 5x - 60 or 10 x to 80x. 

Illumination

• Top light is 12V/15W halogen for incident illumination with adjustable beam and rheostat control.
• Bottom light is 115V/5W fluorescent light which provides bright, cool light for transmitted illumination. Extra long bulb life: up to 10,000 hours.
• 4 position light control: top only/bottom only, top and bottom on/off.

Focusing

• Large dual focusing knobs, heavy-duty rack & pinion with slip-clutch and tension adjustment.
• Tension adjustment eliminates focus "drift".
• Focusing block fits 25mm diameter post.

Standard Post Stand

• Standard post (25mm) stand with built-in transformer for extra stability and space saving.
• Stage surface 165 x 220mm deep (6.5 x 8.75").
• Maximum specimen height 72mm.
• Includes two 80mm frosted glass and black/white contrast plates.
• Blue filter for transmitted light.
• Locked on stage clips.
