Motic SMZ-168
Stereo Zoom Microscope

The SMZ-168 provides clear real 3-D imaging with a convenient zoom magnification range from 7.5 to 50x provided by the combination of the Greenough optical system and the standard 10x super widefield eyepieces. The long working distance of 113mm coupled to the large field of view for the standard configuration makes this an ideal system for setting up a work station for preparation, dissecting, micro-assembly, forensics or quality assurance. Features top light for incident illumination and a bottom light for transmitted illumination (streamline base). Both halogen and LED illumination are available. The optional trinocular port accepts an optional video C-mount and SLR camera adapters. Optical System

• Paired widefield eyepieces 10x / FN23 are 35° inclined with dual diopter adjustments. Interpupillary adjustment from 52 to 75mm. 60° inclination optional. Eyepiece tube diameter is 30mm
• Viewing head rotates 360°, available with binocular or trinocular viewing head.
• Greenough optical system with 6.7 zoom range: 0.75 to 5x (7.5x to 50x magnification with standard supplied lenses). Positive click stops at 7.5x, 10x, 20x, 30x, 40x and 50x. Achromatic color corrected parfocalled optical system provides sharp focused excellent 3-D image throughout the zoom range.
• 113mm working distance with standard lenses.
• Total magnification range with optional lenses 1.1x-320x.

Halogen Illumination with Streamline Base Post Stand

• Top light is 12V/10W halogen for incident illumination with adjustable beam and variable control.
• Bottom light is 12V/10W halogen light which provides bright light for transmitted illumination. Cool fluorescent 12V/5W bottom illumination available as an option on FBGG large post stand.
• 4 position light control: top only/bottom only, top & bottom on/off.

LED Illumination with Streamline Base Post Stand

• Top light is 3W LED for incident illumination with adjustable beam and variable control.
• Bottom light is 3W LED light which provides bright light for transmitted illumination.
• Transmitted illumination is an indirect illumination to avoid the hot spot problems of the other LED stands when used with a digital camera.
• 5500K Color Temperature
• 4 position light control: top only/bottom only, top & bottom on/off.

Focusing

• Ergonomic dual focusing knobs, heavy-duty rack & pinion with slip-clutch to prevent damage to mechanism with tension adjustment to eliminate focus “drift”.
• Focusing block fits 32mm diameter post and facilitates 76mm stereo heads
• Working distance range with optional lenses 34.5 to 324mm.

Streamline Base Post Stand

• Large Base Post Stand with built-in transformer for extra stability and space saving.
• Auto-switch power supply for 100-240V 50/60Hz.
• Stage working surface approx. 200 x 200mm deep.
• Includes two 95mm frosted glass and black/white contrast plates.
• Locked on stage clips.
