Stereo Zoom Microscopes

Stereo Microscope 420 with Standard Post Stand, Prod. No. 2269-11

The convenience and versatility of viewing a large image at 10x magnification, then zooming continuously all the way to close details at 40x magnification or any point in between. Upright, un-reversed 3-dimensional image remains in focus throughout the zoom range. Features top light for incident illumination and a bottom light for transmitted illumination. The optional trinocular port accepts an optional video C-mount and SLR camera adapters. The 420 Series Stereo Microscope is available with a number of stands and many options to configure the systems for your requirements.

Optical System

• Paired widefield eyepieces 10x / FN20 are 45° inclined with dual diopter adjustments. Interpupillary adjustment from 55 to 75mm. Eyepiece tube diameter is 30mm.
• Eyepieces accept reticle with 23mm O.D.
  Viewing head rotates 360°, available as binocular or trinocular viewing head.
• Zoom ratio: 4:1 (10x to 40x with standard supplied lenses). Positive click stops at 10x, 20x, 30x and 40x. Achromatic color corrected parfocalled optical system provides sharp focused 3-D image throughout the zoom range.
• 79mm working distance with standard lenses.
• Total magnification range with optional lenses 2.5x-120x

Illumination

• Top light is 12V/15W halogen,with blue filter, for incident illumination with adjustable beam and rheostat control.
• Bottom light is 110V/5W fluorescent light which provides bright light for transmitted illumination.
• 4-position light control: top only/bottom only, top&bottom on/off.

Focusing

• Large dual focusing knobs, heavy-duty rack & pinion with slip-clutch and tension adjustment.
• Tension adjustment eliminates focus “drift”.
• Focusing block fits 25mm diameter post.
• Working distance range with optional lenses 34-137mm.

Standard Post Stand

• Standard post stand with built-in transformer for extra stability and space saving.
• Stage surface 165x220mm deep (6.5x8.75").
• Includes two 80mm frosted glass and black/white contrast plates.
• Locked on stage clips.

Dimensions and weight

• Stand length: 237mm (9.25"), stand width 170mm (6.63"), overall height 330mm (13").
• Maximum specimen height 93mm.
• Net weight 4.9 kg.
