Superior in design and performance, the 160 series incorporates a wide range of features designed for university and laboratory use. Superb optical clarity and reliable mechanical engineering assure years of top performance. There is a choice of a binocular head (model 162) and a trinocular head (model 163). The trinocular head enables connection of CCD video cameras like the Moticam 1000 or 2000 or a photo camera. Choose from four grades of objective lenses:

• Standard achromatic lenses deliver excellent clarity and normal flatness of field
• ASC high contrast deliver extra image contrast
• Plan Achromat for superior clarity and flatness of field
• Phase Plan for phase contrast imaging

All lenses are parfocalled, parcentered and color coded.

Eyepieces: WF 10x/18mm, pointer standard in one eyepiece, with rubber eyepiece cups. Optional eyepiece available.

Viewing Head: 30° inclined and can be rotated 360° for reverse position viewing. Binocular (162) and trinocular (163) versions available. Trinocular head has 100/0 or 70/30 division for binocular/photo tube.

Quadruple Objective Turret is ball bearing mounted for smooth, precise positioning of objectives, features textured rubber knurling for easy grip.

Objective Lenses: choose standard achromatic, super high contrast, plan or phase. Following are supplied DIN standard: 4x (0.10NA), 10x (0.25NA), 40xR (0.65NA) and 100xR oil immersion (1.25NA).

Stage: Large 140mm wide by 135mm deep (5.5 x 5.25") large stage surface with built-in low profile, ball bearing mounted mechanical specimen holder with low-position coaxial controls. Movements are 70mm (X) by 50mm (Y) with 0.1mm graduations.

Condenser: 1.25NA Abbe condenser with rack & pinion focusing, iris diaphragm, swing out filter holder with clear blue, green and yellow filters supplied.

Focusing: Coaxial coarse and fine, coarse has tension adjustment, fine is graduated

Illumination: 12V/20 Watts halogen lamp with variable rheostat control, illuminated on/off switch. 115V/60Hz and 230V/50Hz models available. 0.5A delay fuse

Frame: Cast aluminum for increased stability with easy to clean grey finish. Base dimensions: 185mm wide by 235mm deep (7.25 x 9.25"). Transformer is housed in the base.

5 year limited warranty, excluding bulb and fuse. Delivery complete with dust cover and instruction manual.
