PAL™ offers a unique combination of features including an intermediate sample mounting block, which facilitates the use of a regular upright optical microscope (instead of an inverted microscope) for monitoring the lapping process, an ergonomically designed baseplate. It also allows for an easy visual inspection of the specimen frontal and side views under a stereo microscope, an integrated leveling device for establishing a reference horizontal plane rapidly and accurately, optimized dimensions and overall tool weight to produce the ideal lapping conditions for a wide variety of applications.
