Harris Micro-Punch®

harris micro-punch can be used as brain punch or tissue punch

“Cuts, retrieves, and stores, cored samples in one operation.”

The Harris Micro-Punch® consists of a razor sharp cutting tip designed to cut, retrieve and store cored samples from source materials such as tissue, gels, paper, cloth, leaves, paint chips, films or other thin substrates. Ideal for tissue processing or forensic applications. Tips are machined from 440c stainless steel that is heat treated to Rockwell Rc 58 hardness and then individually sharpened to a razor edge for a long cutting life. Tips are available in diameters ranging from 0.50 to 3.00mm. Stock sizes: 0.50, 1.00, 1.20, 2.00 and 3.00mm. The plungers consist of a knob-screw assembly made from injected molded, high tech, lubricated plastic to eliminate sticking with a 440c stainless steel ejection rod and spring. Each Harris Micro-Punch® is sold with a protective plastic tip cover and a 6" x 8", 1.5 mm thick, inert, self-healing Harris cutting mat with dual cutting surfaces. Replacement tips, ejection rods and mats can be ordered separately.

Deluxe Aluminum Harris Micro-Punch®

Harris Aluminum Micro-Punch

The lightweight, seamless barrel is machined from high grade 6061 aluminum tubing. It is anodized to form a protective, chemically resistant, long lasting surface for easy handling. The tips and ejection rods have the same specifications as the above plastic bodied Micro-Punchs. The plungers consist of a knob-screw assembly made from anodized aluminum with a 404 stainless steel ejection rod and spring. Each Aluminum Harris Micro-Punch® is sold with a protective plastic tip cover and a 6" x 8", 1.5 mm thick, inert, self-healing Harris cutting mat with dual cutting surfaces.
Specifications for the Aluminum Harris Micro-Punch®
The replacement tips and ejection rods are the same as for the Harris Micro-Punch with plastic barrel.
