The Harris e-Core™ is a compact, versatile, electric coring device designed for unrestricted
sampling of a wide range of sample substrates including DNA storage products. The Harris e-Core™
has been designed to bridge the gap between the lower cost, manual Harris Micro-Punch® and the automated
bench top punching platforms. The ergonomic "joy stick" grip and the Harris e-core™'s simple operation
provide comfort and efficiency which translates into higher sample throughput. The unit features coring,
retrieving and storing in a single operation with dramatically increased processing times. The Harris e-Core™ ejection system offers the user the ability to control both the speed and delivery of the ejected disc.
Since the Harris e-Core™ does not generate static, it ensures precise and accurate disc delivery.
It is a coring tool and not a punch and uses the dedicated replaceable razor sharp Harris Micro-Punch tips
to produce clean and precise core discs.
The Harris e-Core™ is available in three models with coring diameters of 1.2, 2.0 and 3.0mm. Each model
has a fixed diameter plunger ejection rod ensuring efficient sample ejection. The tips used on the Harris
e-Core™ are the same as the robust and precise tips used on the Harris Micro-Punch®. Each tip is also
made from 440c stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of Rc58. The ejection rod is made from 440c stainless
steel. The body of the Harris e-Core™ is made from high impact plastic. The Harris e-Core™ unit is
supplied with a universal power supply accepting 100-240VAC, 0.7A, 50/60Hz and includes 4 power plugs; for
North America, Europe, United Kingdom and Australia. Supplied with a self-healing 6x8" Harris Cutting Mat™.
