Paraplast® PlusTissue embedding medium for faster penetration in one-third the time. Cut to 2um thickness with excellent ribbon continuity; melts rapidly at 56-67°C. Double filtered paraffin containing plastic polymers of regulated molecular weights and a small percent (0.8%) of dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) for faster tissue penetration. Tissue sections can be cut to 1um in short ribbons. MSDS |

Paraplast® X-TRA Tissue Embedding Medium
Optimum media composed of clear pellets of low-molecular weight polymers and highly
purified paraffins. ASTM melting point, 50° to 54°C. Cut to 2um thickness
with exceptional compression resistance and ribbon continuity. Cut sections are free
of distortion; sample morphology is preserved. Low viscosity permits complete infiltration
of dense tissue. Sections adhere perfectly to slides without leaving stainable residue.

PolyFin Paraffin
A mixture of fine paraffin waxes and copolymer alloys in convenient pellets. Produces
ultra-thin compression-free ribbons. It is used to cut 2um sections routinely without
icing. Functions flawlessly in pressure/vacuum fluid flow processors. Provides maximum
support for both hard and soft tissue samples while maintaining exceptional clarity.
Low melting point eliminates excessive heat distortion during tissue processing.
Melting point 55°C.
