PELCO® Bar Clamp Vise, 4", 6" and 8"The PELCO® Bar Clamp Vise is available in three lengths; 102mm (4"), 152mm (6") and 203mm (8") with the same clamps for each version. This bar type clamp can accommodate specimens up to 72mm (3"), 127mm (5") and 178mm (7") in length respectively. The jaws are reversible, offering different clamping options and they operate independently anywhere on the clamping bar. This will allow for positioning the region of interest of the specimen within the travel range of the SEM stage. Stainless steel 1/16" pins (6 pins are included) can be placed on the clamps for awkwardly shaped samples. Clamping bars and clamps can be purchased additionally to make up the best functional set for the job at hand. Made of vacuum grade aluminum with brass bar and brass thumbscrews and stainless steel type 316 dowels. Standard 3.2mm (1/8") pin with 9.5mm (3/8") length.

TEM Grid Holder on PinThis TEM grid holder holds up to 4 TEM grids. It enables imaging and analyzing specimens on TEM grids in the SEM. For EDS applications it is beneficial to place thin films on a TEM grid or small particles on a TEM grid with a support film. This can significantly reduce background in the EDS spectrum and increase detection limits of the EDS detector. Opening angle on the holes in the top and base are 120° to reduce electron scattering and improve X-ray collection. Overall diameter is 18mm (0.7"), standard 3.2mm (1/8") pin with a 15mm (0.6") long pin. The longer pin allows for a larger distance from the SEM stage pin holder and therefore greatly reduces electron and X-ray scattering contribution for the SEM stage. TEM grid locations are numbered. Material: vacuum grade aluminum with brass screw.

Each wafer holder has two fixed clips and one spring-loaded clip to secure the wafer on the holder. Cut-outs are provided for easy wafer removal except for 5". The 1" Wafer Holder uses two fixed tapered cones and one spring loaded tapered cone to hold the wafer.
