Digital Microscopes with Built-in Digital Cameras

More than just great microscopes...... simply plug in your computer and you are ready to capture digital images of your specimen, label them, store them or email them. And there is no need to buy separate microscope, camera, cables and software; everything needed to get started is contained with within each package.

All models come with the Motic Images Plus software which provides a vast assortment of image capture, manipulation and measurement options.

The Magnaview DC3-163 and DC5-163 use the identical microscope base, objectives and optical accessories as the National 163 light microscope. The difference is the digital/analog camera for the DC3-163 and the high resolution digital camera for the DC5-163.

Eyepieces: WF 10x/18mm, pointer standard in one eyepiece, with rubber eyepiece cups. Optional eyepiece available.

Viewing Head 30° inclined and can be rotated 3600 for reverse position viewing. Binocular (162) and trinocular (163) versions available. Trinocular head has 100/0 or 30/70 division for binocular/photo tube.

Quadruple Objective Turret is ball bearing mounted for smooth, precise positioning of objectives, features textured rubber knurling for easy grip.

Objective lenses: choose standard achromatic, super high contrast, plan or phase. Following are supplied DIN standard: 4x (0.10NA), 10x (0.25NA), 40xR (0.65NA) and 100xR oil immersion (1.25NA).

Stage: Large 140mm wide by 135mm deep (5.5 x 5.25") large stage surface with built-in low profile, ball bearing mounted mechanical specimen holder with low-position coaxial controls. Movements are 70mm (X) by 50mm (Y) with 0.1mm graduations.

Condenser: 1.25NA Abbe condenser with rack & pinion focusing, iris diaphragm, swing out filter holder with clear blue, green and yellow filters supplied.

Focusing: Coaxial coarse and fine, coarse has tension adjustment, fine is graduated

Illumination: 12V/20 Watts halogen lamp with variable rheostat control, illuminated on/off switch. 115V/60Hz and 230V/50Hz models available. 0.5A delay fuse

Frame: Cast aluminum for increased stability with easy to clean grey finish. Base dimensions: 185mm wide by 235mm deep (7.25 x 9.25"). Transformer is housed in the base.

CCD Camera: The DC3-163 uses a digital/analog CCD camera with .4 Megapixels in digital mode and 480 lines resolution in analog mode. The advantage is that the DC3-163 can be connected to a computer or to an additional analog monitor which is great for a multi user and/or teaching environment. The DC5-163 includes a high resolution 2.0 Mega Pixels camera with a USB 2.0 port for high speed image transfer.
